Make design layouts and production drawings and be capable of assuring form, fit, and function of components through dimensional studies.

The Role 

Amphenol Military High-Speed is seeking a Design Engineer.

This is a remote position and the incumbent can work from anywhere in the U.S.

The key responsibilities of this Design Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepares designs and specifications.
  • Assists in generation of layouts.
  • Interfaces with other departments for the manufacturing and testing of samples.
  • Interfaces with customers and vendors to assure conformance to customer specifications.
  • Possess a working knowledge of PTC Creo and Windchill.
  • Ability to make drawings for production and customers.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing of customer prototypes.
  • Perform the functions required to process estimate requests and marketing product requests.
  • Review customer documents for compliance with internal documents and if necessary prepare new designs to conform to these documents.
  • Keep supervision informed of status of all activities on a periodic basis.

The Person 

The key skills and qualities of a Design Engineer at Amphenol  Military High-Speed:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • 5 years' experience in Design or Design Engineering required
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Creo is preferred 
  • Willing to travel
